‘Through A Glass Darkly’ produces 5½-inch purple flowers with ruffled edges, a green throat, and a broad lavender watermark that extends across more than half of each bloom when fully open. The fragrant flowers appear in midsummer, and established plants may rebloom later in the season.

Strong, 32-inch stems carry an excellent number of buds above arching green foliage. This adaptable daylily performs well in sunny borders, slopes, urban gardens, and areas with dry or less-than-ideal soil. It can also tolerate planting near Black Walnut trees.
