Hosta ‘First Blush’
Add an unusual touch of red to the shade garden with ‘First Blush’. Green leaves are accented by red petioles that extend into the leaf blades, while a thin red margin outlines each leaf for added contrast.
Cooler temperatures and some sunlight help bring out the strongest red coloration. Purple flowers rise above the foliage in summer, adding another layer of seasonal interest. More colorful than its parent ‘Beet Salad’, ‘First Blush’ is a distinctive choice for shaded borders and mixed Hosta plantings.
