Hosta ‘Golden Scepter’
(Savory, 1983)
Add warm color and compact texture to the shade garden with ‘Golden Scepter’. This smaller Hosta features heart-shaped leaves that emerge bright gold and gradually soften to chartreuse as the season progresses. The foliage also develops a quilted texture that adds depth and interest.
In summer, light lavender flowers marked with purple striping rise above the mound, adding soft seasonal color. Its compact size makes ‘Golden Scepter’ a good choice for the front of shaded borders, containers, edging, or mixed Hosta plantings.
