Iris sibirica ‘Dear Diane’

A refined McEwen introduction from 1979, ‘Dear Diane’ features large 6-inch flowers with a flaring, ruffled form. The velvety violet-blue falls are especially wide, reaching about 2½ inches, and are finished with a soft silver edge for added definition.

This tetraploid variety blooms from midseason into late midseason, bringing rich color and graceful texture to the Siberian Iris display. It has also been valued as a strong parent in breeding.
