Iris sibirica ‘Dreaming Yellow’
(Siberian Iris)
A notable Siberian Iris introduction, ‘Dreaming Yellow’ is recognized as the first yellow amoena. Its 5-inch, flaring flowers open with yellow falls on the first day, gradually softening to cream as the blooms mature. The lighter standards and warm-toned falls give this variety a gentle, distinctive look in the garden.
Introduced by Currier McEwen in 1971, this diploid variety blooms in late midseason and may repeat bloom under favorable conditions. It has also been valued as a parent for developing yellow Siberian Iris varieties.
