Iris sibirica ‘Harpswell Velvet’

A rich, velvety McEwen introduction, ‘Harpswell Velvet’ features rounded 5-inch flowers in deep, dark blue-purple. The blooms have a noticeably velvety texture, with very wide styles and fine silver wire-like edging around the falls for added detail.

This tetraploid variety blooms in early to midseason, bringing deep color and elegant form to the Siberian Iris display. Its upright, grass-like foliage continues to add texture after flowering and fits well in perennial borders, iris collections, and moist garden areas.
