Iris sibirica ‘Tranquility Base’

A richly colored Siberian Iris introduced by Dunlop in 2006, ‘Tranquility Base’ features deep violet standards and falls with darker veining through the center. Brown hafts and darker violet signals add depth, while slightly lighter style arms with aqua highlights give the blooms a unique finishing detail.

This tetraploid variety blooms from midseason into late season, adding strong color and graceful form to the garden. Its upright, grass-like foliage provides texture after bloom and fits well in perennial borders, iris collections, and moist garden areas.
