A classic McEwen introduction, ‘Yankee Consul’ features large 6-inch flowers in medium violet-blue with a lighter ¼-inch border. The subtle edging gives the blooms a clean, defined look while keeping the overall color soft and garden-friendly.

This tetraploid variety blooms from early midseason into late season, with peak bloom in midseason. Its medium height makes it easy to place in perennial borders, iris collections, and moist garden areas. Each stem carries 1–2 branches with 5–6 buds for a strong seasonal display.
