Juniperus horizontalis Wiltonii (Blue Rug Juniper)

This plant is really one of the most popular Ground Cover Junipers in the U. S. Originally discovered on an island in Maine in 1914. A single plant will only grow up to about 6" high yet it is capable of spreading to about 8 ft. wide. Blue Rug Juniper tolerates almost any soil type, it loves the good stuff but will still thrive in extremely heavy or dry soils. Zone 4-9
