'Little Golden Ray' brightens shady spaces with bold foliage and cheerful blooms.  A compact, mound-forming, deciduous perennial with toothed, purple-flushed, dark green leaves, maroon beneath; from midsummer to early autumn, erect, branching, reddish-purple stems bear golden-yellow flowerheads with brown centers.
