Add bold foliage and height to shaded garden spaces with Ligularia japonica. Large, kidney-shaped dark green leaves with jagged edges form a substantial mound, creating strong texture even before the plant begins to bloom.
In summer, tall stems rise above the foliage carrying yellow-orange, daisy-like flowers. This moisture-loving perennial performs best in part sun to shade and is especially well suited to woodland gardens, shaded borders, and consistently moist areas.
