‘Yellow Bird’ is a striking yellow magnolia introduced by the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Its brilliant canary-yellow, goblet-shaped flowers (about 3½" across) appear late in spring, emerging with the foliage to help avoid frost damage. The blooms are lightly fragrant and create a vivid, uplifting display against the fresh green leaves.

This cultivar grows with a vigorous, upright pyramidal habit, making it an outstanding accent or specimen tree for the landscape. Its strong structure, reliable bloom, and rich color make it one of the finest yellow magnolias available.
