Malus ‘Prairiefire’ – Crabapple
A standout ornamental crabapple with exceptional color from spring through fall. Bright fuchsia buds burst into deep red-pink, fragrant flowers in early May, creating a spectacular spring show. New foliage emerges purple before maturing to deep reddish-green with red-tinged veins, then shifts to glowing orange in autumn. Small, persistent red berries attract birds and butterflies well into the cold season. With its dense, rounded form, excellent disease resistance, and adaptability, ‘Prairiefire’ makes a striking specimen for any sunny New England landscape.
