Matteuccia struthiopteris                                                                                                (Ostrich Fern) Large plume-like leaves that resemble ostrich feathers when open. Likes moist, humus rich soil and an open shady area; can tolerate sun in swampy areas. Likes to be near water. 3-4', Z2-8.
