A classic Japanese-type peony introduced in 1899, ‘Petite Renée’ produces large, amaranth-pink blooms with a distinctive form. The 5–7" flowers feature narrow, petal-like staminodes in matching pink tones, creating a soft, layered look without visible pollen. Smooth carpels tipped in bright red add subtle contrast at the center.

Late-blooming species, blooming mid- to late spring, this variety offers lightly fragrant flowers held above a medium-sized, spreading plant. Its elegant form and soft coloring make it a refined addition to perennial borders and cutting gardens.
