Physocarpus opulifolius ‘Fireside’ – Ninebark
Add rich foliage color to the landscape with ‘Fireside’ Ninebark. New growth emerges deep red in spring and holds its color through summer before developing darker purple tones later in the season. Clusters of soft pink flowers appear in May, providing added contrast against the dark foliage and attracting pollinators.
Its dense, rounded habit makes it a useful choice for foundation plantings, mixed shrub borders, mass plantings, or informal hedges. Tough and adaptable, ‘Fireside’ tolerates a range of growing conditions and becomes drought tolerant once established.
