Picea abies 'Frohburg' – Weeping Norway Spruce
A refined, narrow weeping form, Picea abies ‘Frohburg’ offers a more streamlined silhouette than the classic ‘Pendula’. Its strictly pendulous habit, shorter medium-green needles, and fine-textured appearance create a graceful, elegant specimen for the landscape. As plants mature, they develop a broad, dramatic skirt at the base.
Young plants must be staked to establish their height; from the top of the stake, all new growth naturally cascades downward and outward. Expect terminal branches to extend 8–12" per year. Prefers full sun and rich, acidic, well-drained soil.
