Pinus mugo var. ‘Pumilio’ – Dwarf Swiss Mountain Pine
‘Pumilio’ is a low-growing evergreen pine with a dense, spreading habit that provides year-round color and texture. Staying under 4 feet tall while spreading wider, it is well suited for areas where a compact, durable evergreen is needed.
Its naturally broad form works well as a low hedge, specimen, foundation plant, or accent in mixed plantings and rock gardens. For a tidier, more compact shape, new growth can be lightly pruned in early summer before it fully expands.
