Prunus ‘Elephant Heart’ — Japanese Plum
A standout Japanese plum known for its large, heart-shaped fruit and rich, blood-red flesh. Sweet, juicy, and full of flavor, Elephant Heart is excellent fresh off the tree and equally delicious in jams, sauces, and baked goods. Vigorous and highly productive, it matures in late August to early September, making it one of the last plums of the season to harvest.
Though technically self-fertile, you’ll get much heavier crops when it’s planted with another Japanese plum variety.
