Pulsatilla vulgaris 'Alba'
(White Pasque Flower) Large, bell-shaped, pure white flowers, up to 3" across, on short, hairy stems in early spring. The blossoms contrast beautifully with centers of golden-yellow stamens, nodding when they open and gradually extending upwards to face the sun. Flowers are followed by equally ornamental plume-like seed heads in fluffy, round clusters. Ferny foliage remains attractive throughout the growing season. Full sun; fertile, well-drained soil. Rabbit resistant. Will naturalize. 9-12" tall and wide, Z4-8.
