• An important timber tree and its wood is water tight and rot resistant
• Slow growing shade tree
• Excellent purple to red fall color

White oak will slowly grow into a stately rounded, irregular grown. Many forms of wildlife feed on the acorns during the fall and winter including: Red-headed woodpeckers, turkey, deer, quail, chimpmunks and even ducks. It is a larval food source for a number of Hairstreak butterflies.
