Salvia x sylvestris 'May Night'                                                                                                (Syn: S. 'Mainacht') Perennial Plant Association 1997 Perennial Plant of the Year. 'May Night' is a clump-forming perennial with a compact, tidy habit of lance-shaped, dark green aromatic leaves bearing dense spikes of tubular, violet-blue flowers rising elegantly above the foliage. The plant blooms prolifically in late spring/early summer, often reblooming through summer with adequate moisture and dead-heading. Drought, deer and rabbit resistant; pollinator friendly. Full sun. 1-3'x 1-2', Z4-8.
