Sedum x 'Midnight Velvet'

Rich, dark purple leaves comprise the tall domed habit. Tall, upright sedums form substantial clumps of foliage which can be substituted for shrubs in the landscape. Their stout, sturdy stems support the massive flower heads. In late summer clusters of mauve buds burst open with rose-red flowers that in turn become dark red seed heads, providing seasonal interest and a food source for birds in winter. 

Attracts bees and butterflies and other pollinators. Full sun. Height: 22-26", Width: 30-32" Zones 3-9.
