Syringa vulgaris ‘Albert F. Holden’
Lilac
‘Albert F. Holden’ is a classic lilac selection with deep violet flowers accented by a soft silvery blush on the reverse of each petal, creating a subtle bicolor effect. Large, loosely formed flower panicles carry the familiar lilac fragrance and stand out against dark green foliage.
Its upright, rounded habit makes it well suited for shrub borders, screens, hedges, or specimen plantings. This variety also offers good resistance to powdery mildew and is reported to have little trouble with Japanese beetles.
