Syringa vulgaris ‘Atheline Wilbur’ – Common Lilac
‘Atheline Wilbur’ is a medium-sized common lilac with a rounded, multi-stemmed habit. In late spring, it produces large 8–10 inch flower panicles filled with semi-double blooms in shades of rose, pink, and violet.
Dark unopened buds contrast with the lighter flowers as they open, adding depth to the spring display. Its fragrant blooms and substantial size make it well suited for hedges, mixed shrub borders, screens, or specimen plantings.
