Vernonia 'Prairie Princess'
(Ironweed)
A compact and refined North American native, ‘Prairie Princess’ offers a spectacular late-season show. In late summer to early fall, clusters of rosy-purple flowers blanket the top half of the plant, attracting bees and pollinators. Its dark olive-green foliage with a silvery cast remains attractive all season, while the sturdy, upright stems resist flopping, even in rain. Selected for its full habit, mildew resistance, and improved foliage retention—this variety is a garden standout for borders or rain gardens.
