Vernonia X 'Southern Cross'
A native perennial worth noting. Produces a relatively short, vase-like habit of long, thin leaves. Extends the season of color in late summer, producing an airy dome of small purple flowers similar in look to Asters. Full sun. 4-4.5', Z4-9.
