‘Pure Silver’ forms compact clumps of silvery foliage topped with numerous spikes of vivid sky-blue flowers in June and July. Its low, mounded habit adds contrasting color and texture to sunny borders, rock gardens, and mixed perennial plantings.

Selected for improved vigor and longevity, this variety is more adaptable to heavier soils and moist conditions than the species, though it performs best in well-drained soil. It pairs especially well with Geranium sanguineum and other low-growing, sun-loving perennials.
