Veronicastrum virginicum ‘Album’ – Culver’s Root

Add height and graceful structure to the summer garden with this elegant native perennial. Tall, upright stems are topped with slender spikes of pure white flowers accented by soft pink stamens, creating a light, airy display from midsummer into late summer. The flower spikes branch around the stem in a candelabra-like arrangement, giving the plant a distinctive architectural look.

Whorls of narrow, lance-shaped green leaves surround the sturdy stems and add texture even before the flowers appear. ‘Album’ works especially well toward the back of borders, in naturalistic plantings, meadow-style gardens, and pollinator gardens.

Culver’s Root is valued for its strong vertical form, long-lasting summer bloom, and appeal to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. It performs best in moist, well-drained soil and is generally left alone by deer.
