Viburnum plicatum ‘Mariesii’ – Japanese Snowball Viburnum
An improved selection of V. tomentosum, ‘Mariesii’ features a striking horizontal branching habit that adds architectural interest to the garden. In spring, creamy white flowers bloom in layered clusters, followed by red berry-like drupes in summer that ripen to black, providing a valuable food source for birds. Foliage is dark green through the growing season, turning red-purple in fall for seasonal color. A versatile and outstanding deciduous shrub suitable for sun or part shade.
