Vinca minor ‘Ralph Shugert’
(Periwinkle)
‘Ralph Shugert’ is a variegated Vinca with dark green evergreen leaves edged in a narrow creamy-white border. Large, vivid violet-blue flowers appear in spring, standing out nicely against the contrasting foliage.
Its trailing stems root as they spread, forming an attractive groundcover for borders, beneath trees and shrubs, or along shaded slopes. This variegated selection is less aggressive than the species, making it a good choice for mass plantings or as a foliage accent where a more restrained spreading habit is preferred.
